Losing Your Mind

Pretend you were being forced to lose either your frontal lobe, motor cortex, occipital lobe, or temporal lobe. Which would you least like to lose and why?
Remember:
The Frontal Lobe helps control your behavior and emotions.
The Motor Cortex helps to make your muscles move smoothly
The Occipital Lobe helps you see
The Temporal Lobe helps you hear

  1. if i was forced to lose my frontal lobe, motor cortex, occipital lobe or my temporal lobe the one i'd want lose least would be my motor cortex because if i would still be able to move still and play sports

  2. I would want to lose my occipital lobe, if i lost that the only thing that would happen is that i would be blind. I could do every thing but see, so i could move, i could still have emotions, and i could live my life normal.

  3. If I was forced to lose my frontal lobe, motor cortex, occipital lobe or temporal lobe. I would'nt want to lose my motor cortex because i would still want to be able to move around and lift objects.

  4. I wouldn't want to loose my optical lobes because I would feel like I was blind. Since the optical lobes gather information through your eyes, I couldnt recognize any of my freinds. Also I wouldnt be able to do my school work due to the fact that I cannot see what my teachers are trying to teach me. the only solution is to learn brail! This is not what I intend because it would be as if was leaerning a new language.

  6. I wouldnt wanna lose my occipital lobes because I wouldnt be able to see. Being blind means not being able to see someting thats really special to you, and thats not cool (:

  7. losing my optical lobe because i love seeing colors, people, everything and it sucks to just see darkness all the time if you did lose your optical lobe

  8. If I had to lose a part of my brain, I would not want to be without my temporal lobe. It would take a long time to develop another way to learn so I would probably be behind a grade, sports would be a fantasy since I wouldn't hear whistles blow or plays being called, and the loss of my temporal lobe would leave me vulnerable to jerks who would otherwise hurt me.

  9. I wouldn't want to loose my frontal lobes because then I wouldn't have self control and stuff and would have like major mood swings! And then I could just randomly start crying or yelling, and that doesn't sound too fun! But I deffinately agree with Abby that not seeing stuff that mean something to you would stink! =/

  10. If I would have the unfortunate oppurtunity to loose one of my brain functions I would not want to loose my motor cortex. The reason why I would not want to loose my motor cortex the most is because I wouldn't be able to move my body which means no sports, no guitar, and no moving freedom.

  11. I would not want to lsoe any of my lobes because they all do important functions that I use in evrday life. I wouldn't want to lose my motor cortex because I would not be able to move. Losing my frontal lobes would be bad too. I would randomly change moods and do stuff with out even wanting to. Losing my occipital lobes would be really annoying because I could not see anything that was around me or on TV. I think losing my temporal lobes would be one of the worst things because I could not carry on a conversation with anyone or remember anything fun that has happened.

  13. If I were forced to lose either my frontal lobes, motor cortex, temporal lobes, or my occipital lobes I would want to lose my occipital lobes the least because if I couldn't see that would stink and I would have to learn braille and I would never learn how to do that.

  15. If I had to lose a part of my brain I would not like to lose my frontal lobe.I would not like to lose that part because then I would not be able to behave right. Also if I lose that part of my brain I would not be able to scream or cry or even love somebody. That is why I would not like to lose my frontal lobe.

  17. I'd want to lose myh occipital lobe the least. I'd be blind. That would suck. I'd rather lose my motor cortex because i'd only be forced to have random spasms at random moments. Since i'm not planning on being kidnapped by terrorists or being around somebody who hates me, random spasms won't be too much of a problem.

    THE END

  18. If i had to lose my frontal lobes, motor cortex, temporal lobes, or occiptal lobes I would least like to lose my motor cortex. I would not want to lose this because I could not be able to move and I would have to depened on someone else to do stuff for me. I also would not be able to play sports and that is all I do. That is why I would hate to lose my motor cortex.

  19. If I was forced to lose ether my frontal lobe, motor cortex, temporal lobes, or my occipital lobes I would want to lose my occipital lobes. I would want to lose my occipital lobes because my Uncle Blake is blind and then I could understand him alot better.

  20. I would least like to lose my occipital lobes the least because then I wouldn't be able to see anything and I would probably run into something every 5 seconds!

  21. If I were forced to lose my frontal lobes, motor cortex, occipital lobes, or my temporl lobes I would rather lose my temporal lobes because of all the choices it is the least imporant.

  22. If I had to lose my frontal lobes, motor cortex, temporal lobes, or occiptal lobes I would least like losing my occiptal lobes. I would not want to lose this because I could not see. If i could not see I would not know what is going on in the world. I would not be able to see new people, if I met someone, and that would stink. Also without being able to see I would be helpless.

  23. If i had to give up my motor cortex i think i would go COMPLETLEY INSANE! Without my motor cortex i couldnt do any sports like skiing, dancing and tennis. I would be a BIG USELESS BLOB. I would not really mind giving up sight because its not as important as hearing. I just couldnt imagine what i would do with myself without my motor cortex.

  24. If I was forced to loose etheir my Frontal lobe, Motor Cortex, Occpital lobe, or Temporal I would most likely not want to loose my Motor Cortex. If I were to loose that I wouldn't be able to play the sports I play today.

  25. The lobe I'd less likely want to lose would be my optical lobe because I love seeing things that matter in the world like friends and family, colors, and beautiful landscape. If I had to lose something it'd be my frontal lobe because in a way thats taking away my ability to speak and I could still communicate through writing.
